On May 19, 1965, a young man named Pete Townshend turned 20 years previous. Townshend, who would go on to rock 'n' roll glory with the band The Who, was riding a practice that day, and he penned a tune that captured the struggles between younger and previous. Older individuals simply didn't appear to know what it was like to be young, and Townshend wished no part of the elderly era's cluelessness. Townshend and The Who's lead singer, Roger Daltrey, proceed to perform the song despite the very fact that they're each on the upper facet of age 60. And rock 'n' roll gods aren't the one ones getting older; as of late, we're all residing longer. We don't need people to note we're getting older, though, as the recognition of hair dyes, liposuction, anti-aging creams and, after all, Botox can attest. With aging come those frustrating and embarrassing memory lapses that have us looking for the eyeglasses which can be sitting on high of our head, the car keys which are in our pockets or the cellphone numbers we used to know by heart.
